There is little underwater photographer Michael Patrick O’Neill doesn’t know about diving in Florida – he has lived in the area for 16 years.
Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Michael has been an avid conservationist since childhood. He first moved to the US aged 18 to attend university and to subsequently pursue a career in finance and advertising. In 1991 he relocated to Florida and began photographing the rich marine life on the southern state’s reefs. Over the last 14 years he has dedicated his life to underwater photography, diving throughout the globe for various book and magazine assignments. In the forthcoming months he plans to publish a series of ocean-themed children’s books.
