We had a 1 week training course including 9 dives on a liveaboard which moved between different reefs. Video includes parts of the PADI open water certification including navigation, removing mask. Lots of fish, turtles, corals and other amazing underwater life. Fran is wearing pink fins, and Neil has odd blue and green fins. The last two minutes show some library footage from Cairns Dive Centre. |  I finally made a trip to the Great Barrier Reef to do some scuba diving with the Quicksilver guys. We dived a beautiful spot called Agincourt Reef, at the very outer edge of the Barrier Reef. Here, special reefs known as 'ribbons' run parallel to the Continental Shelf. Adjacent to the Coral Sea trench, these ribbon reefs are recognised as the most pristine eco-systems in the reef's environment. We did 2 dives at an average of 12 meters / 40 mins. The Red Sea Bass were there to greet us on the drop into the water. Hundreds of different types of corals, a few lionfish, drummers, unicornfish, clownfish and tons of anemones in the shallower sections. |  Sharks, Turtles, Scorpionfish, Queen Triggerfish, Eel and more!  Scuba diving with sharks with Stuart Cove in the bahamas. These are caribbean reef sharks and are unlikely to attack unless provoked or they mistake your hand for a fish. Depth was probably around 15ft and shark size possibly up to 6ft. Was filmed with a Canon s80 with no extra lighting. As you can see, I'm no professional cameraman. |  The bull shark is one of only 3 sharks known to attack humans but not divers. Don't hold your breath and get to know the "pit bull of the seas."
