Description: Oceanic FDX10 Eos Regulator- Every breath is a dream come true. For over 30 years- Oceanic's R&D group has taken advantage of new materials- development of rapid prototyping- advanced computer aided design systems- objective testing- and lots of open water dives in an effort to develop a regulator with the lowest measurable inhalation effort in order to provide air to a diver at the extremes of human capacity. When engineering brought the near complete EOS in for conformational testing the results were so astounding- the laboratory stopped testing and performed a complete calibration of all instruments- and in re-testing the EOS was found to have a near effortless inhalation resistive effort on test after test. Perfect. Comprised of precision-machined components and extensive research and design- the EOS regulator has achieved an incredible feat…lifelike breathing. Oceanic’s gifted team of design engineers has included effortless breathing- inhalation effort adjustments- and comfortable second stage swivels and orthodontic mouthpieces into a regulator that you can hold in the palm of your hand. This is far more than just another regulator in the eyes of the Oceanic team- this is a dream come true. Features: Pneumatically balanced second stage with virtually no breathing effort Diver adjustable inhalation effort Patented Dynamic Adjustment automatically maintains inhalation effort throughout the dive Ergonomic Adjustable Venturi Switch (A.V.S.) for simple Dive/Pre-Dive Adjustment Stainless steel inline swivel for reduced jaw fatigue and comfort Paired with the rugged FDX-10 Over-Balanced Diaphragm First Stage featuring DVT. Oceanic SWIV Double Combi Gauge. The MaxDepth Console gets its name from its major instrument- the 200-foot MaxDepth module. This analog depth gauge has two needles- one (tipped in fluorescent pink for high visibility) indicates current depth; the other indicates the maximum depth reached on a dive. After each dive the max depth needle can be reset to 0. Since the shallow depths - 10 to 30 feet - are where critical safety/decompression stops take place- the scale for those depths has been expanded to make it easier to read. The depths beyond those considered safe for sport divers - 130 to 200 feet - are fluorescent pink- noting caution. The MaxDepth has a luminescent face that allows it to be read in low light conditions. Because of its universal dimensions- the MaxDepth module fits into all Oceanic gauge consoles as well as those from many other manufacturers. The Oceanic Combo Double Gauge console includes a MaxDepth Gauge and a SlimLine Pressure Gauge. The Alpha Standard. The standard by which all other entry-level regulators are judged. For recreational divers looking for professional performance at a reasonable price- the Alpha 8 makes the adventure of diving that much easier to experience. Best Price / Performance ratio in its class Not only is the Alpha 8 an economical buy for the diver on a budget- it is just as inexpensive to maintain. Standard re-placement parts can cost as little as half of those in other regulators in its class. The new Lightweight Champion at just 6 pounds!
