The Sea Marshall DIVERS PLB8 LD is the world most compact PERSONAL LOCATOR BEACON operating on the 121.5MHz Emergency Homing Frequency.
Presssure tested and rated to 100m the device has been specifically designed to aid the location and rescue of sport, technical and commercial and military divers.
The Sea Marshall PLB8 LD features manual activation and the units loop antenna is made from an electro luminescent flashing filament enclosed in a silicone tube which aids visual location in poor visibility.
With overall dimensions of just 73mm x 70mm x 29mm, the unit weighs only 150g and is designed to be permanently worn around the neck.
No additional pressure tested case is required, simply slip into the pocket of your BCD or wear around the neck with the unit tucked neatly away.
Once activated the PLB8 LR will transmit for up to 30hrs and its signal can be picked up by either your own shipboard receiver or by the standard 121.5Mhz equipment onboard coastguard, RNLI and military search and rescue aircraft.
Every unit has a built-in test facility and the arming switch is protected from false alarms by a safety O-Ring.
