An all-new protective reflector housing is shock-resistant and adjustable- offering the ability to change focus from a wide flood to a tight beam which makes it great for both exploration and -- with the addition of an optional Lumedyne reflector -- underwater video and digital still photography. Small- yet powerful our 15W HID 1000 Slimline is 100% brighter than a 10W 500 lumen HID. Powered by a 12V 4500 mA NiMH battery gives 3.5-hours of burn time and is depth rated to 500 feet 1000 Lumen HID HeadThe light head has a bright 1000 Lumen output of strong- crisp white light with a color temperature of 6-500 to 7-500 degrees Kelvin and rated bulb life exceeding 1000 hours. Converting the adjustable reflector light head for video/digital still lighting is easy. Simply remove the standard exploration reflector collar- and replace it with an optional Lumedyne reflector. The Lumedyne reflector softens- diffuses and widens the head's beam to match the coverage of your camcorder's or digital still camera's wide-angle optics. The Slimline canister holds the battery pack and is machined from a single piece of chloride pipe (PVC). Coupled with its round shape and poly vinyl chloride (PVC) construction the canister is indestructible even under extreme pressures. The canister lid houses the on/off switch inside a switch guard to prevent accidental on/off. A compression o-ring seal keeps water from entering the canister and locking latches prevent unintentional opening of the lid. Comes standard with Goodman metal hand mount. Dive Rite NiMH batteries contain no lithium and do not have any TSA travel restrictions. Traveling divers like the NiMH charger because it automatically adjusts to 110/220V current and 50/60Hz frequency. The US power cord is included and power cords are available for most other regions of the globe.
