DIVE goes digital
Thursday, 11 August 2011 13:37
DIVE magazine, a globally recognised brand, is launching a vast digital campaign, offering free subscriptions.
We are offering all newly qualified divers free digital subscriptions for one year and will launch a number of joint promotions with major dive centres around the world.
We will also offer all BSAC members a free digital subscription and we will stop supplying the club with printed copies of DIVE.
The diving market has changed dramatically over the last 10 years and we must nowmove with the times.
We will continue to promote and sell our traditional printed magazine on the newsstand and through our extensive subscription base.
Our digital edition will be available in both the Apple and Android formats as an App, as a digital pager-turner that can be read on any PC and in a mobile format that can be viewed on any smart phone. Readers will be able to pick which platform they want to use to read their copy of DIVE depending on where they are and what they are doing! Also our extensive archive will be available to all subscribers.
Our Apps will be fully integrated with Facebookand Twitter and readers will be able to comment on articles while reading their App.Their comments will be displayed on their Facebook wall and thereby spread the word about the most popular dive magazine even wider!
Our website is continuing to grow dramatically and we are integrating an exciting localized directory. We have recently added a dynamic video display tool and now have more than 50,000 registered members.
We also have exciting plans to launch a Gold subscription service, which includes a printed edition of the magazine plus all our digital services and some very special member benefits to be revealed soon.
We will no longer produce a BSAC edition of the magazine after the November issue and will target the new magazine at all divers.
DIVE is the magazine ALL divers deserve!
