Paul Rose at Dive Fest

Dive_Fest_logoPaul Rose, presenter of the new BBC TV series Britain’s Secret Seas, will be joining the fun at Dive Fest.

paul_rose‘I’m looking forward to it,’ said Paul. ‘I’ve never been and yet I love and enjoy British diving. As we’re about to launch the new series Britain’s Secret Seas, which is all about UK diving, and as Dive Fest is the launch of the new season for many divers, I wanted to be there. It looks like great fun.’

Paul, who’s also a BSAC instructor, will be at the Fest on Saturday where he’ll be running Try Dives in the pool and, if possible, in the sea. He’ll also be signing copies of his new book at the BSAC stand in the Dive Hub.

It’s not all going to be hard work though. ‘If I can get a dive or two in as well, I’ll be really happy,’ he says. ‘I’m going to dance and have a beer, though probably not in that order! It’s going to be a fabulous weekend.’

According to Paul, there’s a lot in Britain’s Secret Seas that will surprise divers – the programme has looked for the untold stories behind regularly dived British sites as well as discovering new ones. Paul also hopes the series will boost interest in British diving.

‘I’d love to meet someone at some time in the future who says “That series got me diving,”’ he said.

Britain’s Secret Seas will be broadcast on 8 May on BBC2.

Dive Fest is being held on 29 April to 2 May at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park in Cornwall. For more information on what’s on and to book tickets, visit www.divefest.co.uk
