The author is a BSAC first- class diver noted for his fastidiousness in recording dive data, and it is his precision that makes this 240-page book such a useful guide. For each site, he provides GPS numbers, a general description and sections on location and timing; but the most important component is his own enthusiasm for the diving in North Wales. This area may not be noted for its visibility, but there’s a good smattering of underwater photographs to brighten up the pages. The book’s greatest strength, however, lies in its attention to detail. If you plan to dive this corner of North Wales regularly, Holden’s guides are indispensable.
