The Seac Sub Pro Flex500 semi-drysuit is certainly not lacking in Italian style. The 6.5mm stretchable neoprene
suit has been anatomically shaped to create a stylish appearance and includes pre-bent arms and legs to improve the fit and increase the thermal performance. This also improves mobility when kitting up. The plush inner lining feels very smooth against the skin and the neoprene neck seal provides a comfortable anti-trickle defence against the chilly water.
Other features include a back zip, kneepads and zips on the wrists and ankles. The Pro Flex500 vest with integrated hood is designed to be worn in conjunction with the main suit in cold conditions. A separate Pro Flex500 6mm hood is also available.
I felt very comfortable in this suit and its style will certainly satisfy the most discerning of female divers. The stretchable neoprene made it easy to get into, but you do need a buddy to zip you up, as the zip is positioned at the back. I had ease of movement in the water, with no trickles down the neck, but I could feel a coldness across my shoulders which must have come from the zip. The integrated hood was the best I tried
all day and kept my head warm and cosy. At the deepest
part of the lake I could feel a certain amount of compression, but I would be happy to wear this in the UK during the summer months.
VERDICT
The look: A great looking suit that oozes style. The black, grey and red colour scheme works really well and is a very flattering design
