Ralf Tech Angel Power

Ralf Tech's Power line suit designs are some of the most visually creative on the market today and the Angel Power is no exception, with full angel wing patterns on the front and back.

Full suit £239.58, Angel Power overvest £99.99

Ralf Tech's Power line suit designs are some of the most visually creative on the market today and the Angel Power is no exception, with full angel wing patterns on the front and back.

The full suit is a mixture of 7mm extra-stretch neoprene combined with 5mm stretch panels to aid movement both in and out of the water. It was very easy to get into and the Metal Plush lining meant that it felt comfortable against my skin, and my hands and feet slipped easily through the smoothskin seals. Other features included zipped wrists and ankles, kneepads and the most comfortable neckline I have ever encountered. For particularly cold conditions the Angel overvest can be added on top. This is a 5mm vest with 4mm panels and an integrated hood. I have to admit that I've never been a big fan of attached hoods, but with such a soft lining, once zipped up I felt really snug.

It was my first dive of the day and I was feeling quite apprehensive before entering the water, but pleasantly surprised as I encountered very few trickles and only a small area of my face was left open to the elements. My movement in the water didn't feel at all encumbered by the layers of thick neoprene and my torso stayed warm right to the end of the dive. My head, however, was slightly chilly and I would have been happier with a thicker hood.

VERDICT

The look: The black, silver and powder blue look great together and let's face it, this is as close as I'll get to being an angel.
Style: 9/10
Performance: 8/10
