Circle Publishing are a B2C publisher who produce market-leading magazines - both consumer and contract. Our aim is to publish top-quality titles that delight our readers and, therefore, service our advertisers. This is a small, well-run, dynamic publishing house with around 30 staff where all employees are hands-on in their roles. The company publish market-leading titles in the sporting, outdoor, travel and leisure industries.
DIVE magazine gives its readers all the news, reviews and features from the world of scuba. It uses the best writers and world-renowned photographers in a cutting edge design that consolidates DIVE's status as Britain's best-selling diving magazine.
The content is a carefully balanced mix of news, columns, travel coverage, analysis and equipment coverage, with regular features on skills, safety, the environment and underwater photography.
The Classified Sales Executive will be required to sell classified advertising, both print and online, across our market-leading media.
The Role:
An exciting vacancy for a Classified Advertising sales executive to work on a well-known industry-leading publication. This is an entry-level sales role responsible for generating classified advertising revenue from both new and existing clients.
The role will be a mixture of telephone-based sales and also some face to face sales
A highly target driven environment.
You are required to generate your own sales leads, cold call and close classified advertising deals with clients.
You will be required to source leads from all available resources, including competitor titles and rival websites
You will liaise with the production team to flat plan the sections
There are opportunities to cross-sell into other Circle publications
Full training will be provided for the right candidate
Excellent promotional prospects are available for successful candidates
The Candidate:
Previous advertising sales experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
You must have a good telephone sales manner, possess excellent attention to detail and not be afraid to pick up the phone
Experience in marketing, publishing, events or sales would also be beneficial
Good negotiation skills and ability to communicate well
Excellent time management and IT skills.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt in an ever-changing sales environment
You must demonstrate that you have the passion and enthusiasm to work on a market leading publication and you will need to posses an outstanding ability to prioritise your time and have a high attention to detail.
Experience or an interest in Diving, Sport, Travel and the Outdoors would be a major advantage.
