The British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSoUP) is holding a one-day 'splash-in' photography competition in Plymouth on 3 July.
Divers will compete to take the best underwater photograph on the day - first prize is a one-week liveaboard holiday in the Maldives with Maldives Scuba Tours.
'All facing the same conditions underwater, working within a specific timeframe around Plymouth, the battle is to produce the one image that is judged to be the best,' said BSoUP chairman J.P. Trenque. 'We hope that users of compact cameras as well as those with more advanced equipment will test their skills in this unique way.'
