The 2010 International Shipwreck Conference will be held on 6 February at the University of Plymouth.
The conference will cover the latest discoveries in marine archaeology from around the world, including talks on an early Bronze Age ship found off the Devon coast and the wreck of HMS Victory - a 100-gun first-rate Royal Navy ship that sank near the Channel Islands in 1744.
There will be presentations on a shipwreck dating from the second century BC found in Italy and the HMAS Sydney, a Second World War light cruiser found off southern Australia. Speakers will also discuss HMS Audacious, a First World War Super-Dreadnought sunk off Donegal, Ireland.
On 7 February, there will be a walking tour of early ropewalks, wreck sites and the university's marine and diving centre. The tour will start from the Mayflower steps in Plymouth.
