DIVE's online editor, Jane Morgan, has won this year's British Society of Underwater Photographer (BSoUP) Open Portfolio competition. It is the second-year running that digital images have been up against slide portfolios in this prestigious competition.
Morgan's portfolio beat 25 other digital entries and two film entries.
'I am absolutely delighted to have won the open portfolio competition as not only is it considered the most prestigious, but also five of the six shots were taken in my first year of digital,' said Morgan. 'This last year has been a huge learning curve for me and my approach to photography has changed incredibly. I now
work completely in manual and am happier to experiment as I'm not so worried about wasting film.'
DIVE presented Morgan with a trophy and a cheque for £100 as sponsors of the category. The annual Open Portfolio is open to members and non-members.
