Blind diver Mark Threadgold, who plans to break a deep dive record at 100m in the Red Sea, has been appointed branch diving officer of his club Brighton Marina Divers.
Blind diver Mark Threadgold, who plans to break a deep dive record at 100m in the Red Sea, has been appointed branch diving officer of his club Brighton Marina Divers. He was unanimously elected by members for the position, which gives him, among other responsibilities, the power to award diving certifications at club level.
The 38-year-old trimix rebreather diver will attempt the 100m world record in June 2006 at the Blue Hole dive site in Dahab, Egypt.
