Shark expert in Queen’s Birthday Honours list

Dive_newsDiver and shark expert Valerie Taylor has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the Queen’s birthday honours list for services to conservation and the environment.
Taylor and her husband Ron have been advocates for the protection and preservation of marine wildlife and habitats, particularly the Great Barrier Reef and Ningaloo Reef. They have fought to protect marine animals, in particular the great white shark and the grey nurse shark, also known as the sand tiger shark.
