Tek3, £882.34 The trick to keeping your kit tidy and well-configured lies in routing the hoses exactly where you need them, to keep them as streamlined as possible. Step forward Apeks, with its snazzy Tek 3 regulators, which come in right- or left-sided versions with first and second stages. This allows you to set up the dry-sealed first stages so that the hoses point directly downwards, reducing the chance that they’ll get snagged.
You get three low-pressure ports – one for a second stage, one for drysuit or BC inflation and one spare, while the high-pressure port on each side gives redundancy if required. The full set comprises two first stages (one left- and one right-sided), two XTX50 second stages, a second stage necklace and a small alternative exhaust system. It’s ideal for someone putting together a twin-set, and the performance of the reg is flawless.
