Opinions varied on the looks of this regulator. It was definitely lightweight, but testers described it variously as ‘small, neat and modern looking’ and ‘too big and not especially nice looking’.  |
This regulator is plain black in colour with a breathing resistance control but no venturi. The purge button was stiff to operate, but the breathing resistance control was easy to find and operate and proved effective at depth. The A-clamp first stage is small and neat with four low pressure and two high-pressure ports, which come out in a horizontal direction. Comes with the advantage of Oceanic’s unique ‘free parts’ offer for those who get it serviced annually.
Verdict: A popular regulator that performed adequately
