While the large size makes these controls very easy to locate and use with gloves on, some felt it made the reg itself appear unwieldy, and some felt they were prone to damage. That said, we did find that both sets of controls were effective to use. The A-clamp first stage is also very large and heavy, with four low-pressure and two high-pressure ports positioned horizontally. The general opinion of the team was that this wouldn’t be a good regulator for deep diving, even though it gave a dry, easy breathe.
Verdict: Responsive breathing controls, but heavy
