The Dive Rite wings and harnesses are nothing new to the DIVE Test Centre and probably give a diver the highest member of options of any BC-wing system. There are no fewer than ten different types of wing and five choices of harness and backplate. The Transpac harness and Trek wing on test here is probably the most suitable combination for the single set or small twin-set diver and is also light enough to be taken abroad. In terms of features, it is similar to the Custom Divers Sportster with plenty of D-rings exactly where you would expect them, and easy-to-adjust straps and comfortably padded backpack (although this is not included in the price above). The wing itself has bungee cord around it, which when pulled tight made it extremely compact but still allowed it to be inflated fully when required. There are two length options, 30cm or 40cm available for the corrugated hose and pull dump – a subject that can create a huge debate within the technical-diving fraternity. The harness also includes twin stainless-steel camband fasteners that are very tough.
